Harumi is a learning chatbot. Here is a little tutorial to begin :

1) How to interact with Harumi :
There are 2 important windows :
a) The user window, where you can write any text.
b) The Harumi text window, where Harumi tries to answer properly to you

There are also two groups of icons :
a) the emoticons smileys
b) the functions icons

FAQ
1) How can I force Harumi to learn something?
A : You need first to write any text in the user window then to press on the student icon in the emoticons group :
Exemple :
Paul adress is New york, broadway

2) How can I add informations linked to a stimulus?
Just write "+" at the beginning of your text then press enter.

3) How can I ask something to Harumi?
Write your question with "?"  or "give me", "tell me"... then press enter.

4) What must I do if Harumi makes a suggestion?
Write "yes" or "no" then press enter. Better, you can use emoticons "yes" or "no" :     

5) How can I edit Harumi's apparence when the user use any stimulus?
You must edit Sheet 1 of Harumi's memory.
Exemple :
If you have as a stimulus : princess leia
then replace with : princess leia<APPARENCE>leia.jpg
and don't forget to put in the apparence repertory in Harumi's repertory "leia.jpg" file. Relaunch Harumi after a save in the memory file. You can also click on the "disk" icon when you modify datas in the stimulus column in order to upgrade her memory :

6) How can I ask Harumi precisions about what she just said?
Suppose Harumi say something like "You must write to Paul"
Write ">" at the beginning of your text and press enter : >do you have his mail?
You can also write "Do you have his mail?" then click in emoticons on :

7) How can I play chess with Harumi?
Click on chess icon in functions group :
Then choose "Tom's" chess engine instead of custom, click on computer for black side and choose difficulty level by writing a number (1 to 30).

8) How can I ask advice to Harumi while playing chess?
Click on this emoticon  :

9) How can I record a rendez vous?
Only working in french, sorry for the inconvenient...
"le 8 je dois aller chez le docteur" then press enter.
you can also use "Le 9 novembre 2012 c'est..." then press enter
or "tomorrow I must go to the cinema to see again drive"
or "friday I must eat fish"...

10) How can I ask about a specific rendez vous?
Just write "When must I eat fish?" or "When  must I go to the cinema".... then press enter
You can also use this icon in the functions group :
- Note that to ask for an old rendez vous, you can write :
"When did I went to the cinema with Lola?"
- and to check about the next rendez vous if you have many appointements with the same person :
"When is my next rendez vous with the doctor?"

11)How can I ask if have any rendez vous?
Write "do I have rendez vous?" or "any rdv?" "appointments for me?"....

12) How can I use alarm?
Write something like "At 12:00 I have to go to the restaurant"
or "in 10 minutes I must check the oven" ....
You can also execute a function at a certain time.
Exemple : suppose you have as a stimulus :
"starcraft" (column 1) and "c:\starcraft.exe" in column 3
If you write "At 22:15 I would like to play starcraft"
then Harumi will launch starcraft at 22:15

13) How can I use calculator?
just write any operation then press enter.
Exemple :
User : 1+1
Harumi : I guess... 2
User : (5+2)*3
Harumi : 21
Proportionnality :
write 1€=1.3$ then press enter
write 54€ then press enter
Harumi : 70,2$
Variables :
User : x=3
Harumi : ok
User : y=25
Harumi : All right
User : x+y+1
Harumi : 29



14) How can I activate webcam?
Click on webcam icon :
Then you will see yourself on the webcam.

15) How can I train Harumi to recognize what she sees on webcam?
a) Click on the webcam picture you see
b) Harumi says something like "I don't know this picture, do you want me to learn it?"
c) Click on the emoticon "Yes" :
d) Harumi says something like "Tell me the name of this picture"
e) Write something like "I am wearing a pullover" then press enter
f) Repeat the procedure several time without changing the e) sentence. This way, Harumi will have 2, 3 or more images linked to one of your activities. It will be easier for her to recongnize what you are doing.

Note that you can edit sensibility so similarity between picture seen and picture memorized :
Go to memory ods Sheet 6 line 316 (Similiraty's sensibility)
You will witness that a number changes constantly line 317 (Similiraty's auto analysis). When this number is under similiraty's sensibility, then Harumi considers she has recognized the picture... so you have to lover line 316 number in order to force Harumi to recognize a image with less precision/similiraties if you see that Harumi never recognizes what you show to her.

16) How can I use post it function?
Write "I must XXX" or "I have to XXX" then press enter.

17) How can I be reminded of my post it?
Write "Do I have anything to do?" or "Something to do?"....
You can also click on icon in the functions icons.

18) How can I clear a post it?
If Harumi reminds you a post it, then write something like : "Done" then press enter
You can also cancel it by writing "Cancel it"...

19) How can I ask Harumi precisions about the current subject?
Exemple : you ask : "I need paul's phone"
Harumi answers something like "It's 01 02 03"
Then write "What about his adress?" and enter.
Harumi answers "He lives in Broadway street"...
In this case, don't click on the finger icon! Note that the word "his" "her"... help Harumi to understand you keep on the same subject.

20) Asking Harumi to search for a file on the computer :
Write something like "I'm looking for titanic in drive c:" or "look for titanic in f:\films"

21) Asking Harumi about a picture on the web
Write "I'm looking for a picture of ...." or "I want a picture of..."....

22) Asking Harumi to google a question
Write "google XXX" or "search on the web for XXX"....

23) Asking for EMAC adress
Write "I want my emac adress" or something like that!

24) Asking for internet connection
Write "Do you have any internet connection?"...Note that in case of internet cut, she'll warn you about it dynamically.

25) Going on a specific repertory
Write "c:\any\repertory" then press enter

26) Translate a word (from english to french only)
Write an english word then click on the flag icon in functions group :

27) How to ask for battery connection/state of charge
Write "Do you have a battery?" or "What about your battery?" then press enter.
Note that if you connect a battery/unplug your computer... while Harumi running, she'll warn you about it.
